ATLANTA — Agnes Scott College: Classes this fall will begin on August 20. They are currently finalizing plans for in class and virtual learning.
Albany State University: On August 10, Albany State University will resume face-to-face classes for the fall 2020 semester. This is a change from our previous return date of August 17. It is imperative the campus community adheres to the social distancing and health and safety procedures provided. This memo provides further details on operational adjustments that will affect our faculty, staff and students in the fall.
Clark Atlanta University: CAU will have remote and on learning this fall for all students. Faculty and staff will continue to telework. The fall semester will start on August 19.
Emory University: Emory University will officially begin their fall semester on August 19. Undergraduate on campus classes will be limited to those that are needed for graduation. All other students will have virtual learning only for the fall semester.
Georgia Institute of Technology: Georgia Tech plans to have classes in person and virtual teaching, that will include limited in classroom instruction. As part of the fall plan, each course and section will be designated as residential (in-person with physical distancing), hybrid with limited in-person attendance, or remote. The majority of courses will have some in-person attendance. Fall classes resume August 17.
Georgia State University: The university will start fall classes on August 24. GSU plans to offer in class learning and virtual learning.Most courses will be delivered through blended learning. The school require faculty, staff, students and visitors to wear an appropriate face covering while inside campus facilities.
Georgia Southern University: GSU plans to resume in classroom learning for students in the fall. The semester is scheduled to begin August 10.
Kennesaw State University: The University is currently working on plans to return to campus for the fall 2020 semester for all students, based on guidelines provided by the University System of Georgia. Face masks are required on campus.
Mercer University: Fall classes will start for the Atlanta campus and Regional Academic Centers in Henry and Douglas counties will on August 17. Most classes on the Macon campuses will begin on August 18. Mercer plans to resume traditional in-classroom instruction for the fall semester.
Morehouse College: Morehouse College announced they will start classes this fall with virtual learning only for the semester. Classes will start on August 19.
Spelman College: Spellman announced they will have continue remote learning only for students when classes start this fall. Fall classes start on August 19.
University of Georgia: USG institutions will return to in-person instruction for fall semester, and each campus is now planning for that return. Classes are scheduled to begin August 20.
University of North Georgia: UNG fall classes will begin August 17. The university is planning to begin the fall semester with in-classroom instruction and social distancing. Classes and operations must be able to go between best practices in face-to-face and online delivery for a period during the semester, based on public health information.
University of West Georgia: UWG will begin the semester on Wednesday, Aug. 12, as scheduled, and end regular instruction on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Final exams will be administered remotely so that students do not have to return to campus after Thanksgiving break. However, students are welcome to return to campus, as residence halls and DineWest facilities will remain operational through the week of final exams.
Valdosta State University: Fall 2020 classes will begin as scheduled on Monday, August 17, but regular instruction in face-to-face classes will conclude on Tuesday, November 24. Face masks are required on campus.
