ATLANTA — A driver is behind bars after leading police on a chase through two metro Atlanta cities.

Just before 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sandy Springs police were notified of a driver who had fled from Roswell police and was traveling toward Sandy Springs.
Police responded to the area on Georgia 400 southbound, when they spotted the car speeding through Sandy Springs.

According to authorities, Sandy Springs police tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop and continued traveling on Interstate 285 westbound.
After a short police chase, officers performed a PIT maneuver.
The suspect, whose age and identity were not released, was arrested and charged.
