Lifeline Animal Project contract with Fulton County extended through June for $4.54 million

ATLANTA — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a six-month extension to their contract with Lifeline Animal Project, Inc., which provides animal control and shelter services to the county.

According to documents from the Fulton County Commission, the extension will continue the contract from the end of December through June 30, 2025.

Under the agreement, the unincorporated parts of Fulton County, as well as Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton and Union City, will have extended animal control services through Lifeline.

The documents from the commission showed that the extension will cost up to $4.54 million and includes funding for personnel, supplies, utilities, insurance and equipment.

Lifeline Animal Project also provides animal control and shelter services to DeKalb County.
