SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — The Sandy Springs Police Department arrested driver who led them on a chase on New Year’s Day.
SSPD says on Jan. 1 at approximately 11:12 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle in the area of 400SB at Spalding Drive.

However, the driver refused to pull over.
Law enforcement officials initiated a pursuit, which started from GA-400SB onto I-285EB.

The vehicle exited on Buford Highway, but officers were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the driver. The driver was charged with speeding, improper lane change, fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, hit and run and DUI.
