FULTON COUNTY, Ga — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced a partnership with a technology company that would increase security and inmate monitoring.
According to a news release, inmates will wear wristbands with tracking technology known as The ITW (Inside the Walls) Solution.
Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat said the partnership with Talitrix reflects his vision for 21st-century jail management.
Sheriff Labat contracted tech company Talitriz, to develop a wrist-wearable solution and digital platform that provides biometric monitoring, monitoring inmates in and out of cell time as well as live-time tracking of inmate-to-inmate contact.

The sheriff’s office said this technology will work to combat staffing shortages and protect inmates and officers.
“We understand the important role that technology can play in elevating our efforts to serve the community, and I am focused on leveraging innovation to make Fulton County safer and our agency more effective,” Labat said. “Working with the Talitrix team, we are able to use reliable data for better case management needs while recognizing the rights of those in the system.”
The technology will first be put to use in two jails the North Annex at Alpharetta City Jail and the South Annex Facility in Union City.

The North Annex will consist of the entire functionality of the platform, while South Annex will focus on biometric monitoring, according to a news release.
Talitrix is Atlanta-based and was founded in 2020.
