ATLANTA — For couples looking to officially put a ring on it, the Fulton County Probate Court is bringing a new way to tie the knot.
The court will hold Forever Friday Wedding Ceremonies every Friday, allowing couples to get married in small ceremonies for free, as long as they have a Fulton County marriage license.
The first Forever Friday was held Aug. 4, and will continue every week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a statement from Chief Probate Judge Kenya Johnson.

“Celebrating weddings with the couples of Fulton County is one of the happiest and proudest moments for Probate Court,” Chief Probate Judge Johnson said. “Being able to share this special day with those promising to love each other for a lifetime is a joy. We are truly grateful to be able to be able to host wedding ceremonies for the many couples looking to walk through life’s journey together.”
No appointments are needed, according to the court.
The court said couples will be able to bring up to six witnesses and guests to their weddings at the Pryor Street courthouse in downtown Atlanta.
