Wife of Georgia police officer accused of stealing at least $500K from job, GBI says

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — The wife of a LaGrange police officer was arrested after officials say she stole over $500,000 from her job.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said 39-year-old Brandy Clower was arrested Monday and charged with theft by taking, exploiting, and intimidating an elderly person.

Investigators said that while Clower was employed at Holliday Realtors, she stole over $500,000 from the business.

Authorities did not release the specifics regarding her arrest.

LaGrange police said Wednesday that the department conducted an internal investigation into Sgt. Josh Clower, Brandy Clower’s husband.

Officials confirmed that there was no evidence to support him of violating any departmental policy, violating any law, or participating in any criminal act.

GBI officials added that Brandy Clower may face additional charges as the investigation continues.
