FORSYTH, Ga. — The GBI is investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot to death at a Walmart in Forsyth.
The Forsyth Police Department responded to reports of someone shooting inside the store on Sunday around 6:12 p.m.

Monroe County deputies and Forsyth Police officers responded to the scene.

Investigators determined that Tarmaine Jontavion Bowden, 17, shot and killed Cedric James Mayes, also 17.
Investigators told WGXA that Bowden shot Mayes in the frozen food section of the store.

Bowden was arrested and is awaiting charges.
