Georgia boy now finalist in country-wide mullet showdown

ATLANTA — A South Georgia boy is now in the Top 25 in the nation for the 2023 Kid’s Mullet contest.

The challenge is being held online by MulletChamp.com and benefits Jared Allen’s Homes For Wounded Warriors.

Brock Higgins, 11, of Douglas, Georgia, is now in the Top 25 people for the contest.

“He wanted a mullet like the baseball players. I said no. Then COVID hit and I said, ‘Why not?’ Now, it fits his personality and wild spirit, and we couldn’t see him without it,” his parents said on the contest’s website.

With each vote, each person is asked to donate to Jared Allen’s Homes For Wounded Warriors.

The nonprofit is “dedicated to providing critically injured United States military veterans with injury-specific, accessible, and mortgage-free homes.”
