ATLANTA — The Georgia Bulldogs defeated Georgia Tech 38-7 Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta.
Going into Saturday’s game, the visiting team had won the last four games in the series. That trend continued with the Bulldogs getting the win on the road.
Georgia moves to 11-1 on the season. Georgia Tech finishes at 5-6 and will not be bowl eligible for just the second time in the last 22 seasons.
This is the Yellow Jackets’ first loss at home this season. They have not beaten UGA at home since 1999.
The Bulldogs will go on to face Auburn next week in the SEC Championship.
Georgia led Georgia Tech 17-7 at halftime in the 112th installment of “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.”
The Bulldogs shut out the Yellow Jackets in the second half to seal the win.
