Weaver got out of the hospital Thursday afternoon and was welcomed back by his law enforcement family during a visit to the sheriff's office. Weaver still had visible injuries to his face and had one arm in a sling.

Deputies said he will have to go through physical therapy.

"We are glad to have our hero Justyn Weaver back in one piece!" deputies wrote on Facebook.

Weaver has been employed with the Lamar County Sheriffs Office for 3 years. He recently received an award by Community Ambulance for his heroic acts in saving a mans life.

An account has been set up to receive donations to help with Weaver’s recovery. Funds may be deposited directly into the Justyn Weaver Benefit Fund account at United Bank.
