ATLANTA — Good news for Georgia drivers: gas prices are continuing to decline.
According to reports from AAA, regular gas in Georgia now costs $3.38 per gallon, on average.
Drivers are paying almost $7 less to fill up compared to a year ago.

“Georgia drivers continue to see relief at the pumps,” said Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman.
However, Waiters said we still have to keep an eye out for price changes as hurricane season approaches.

“Now we need to keep an eye on the weather as hurricane season arrives. These storms can affect prices by disrupting oil production in the Gulf of Mexico and impacting large coastal refineries,” said Waiters.
Since last Monday, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has decreased by 5 cents to $3.85.
