Man charged in his grandparents' deaths

WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man is facing murder charges after his grandparents were found dead in their home in Walton County.

Sheriff’s officials said Andrew Bryant, 46, was taken into custody by Greene County deputies Wednesday after an unrelated traffic chase, which began in Greene and ended in Taliaferro County.

Sheriff Joe Chapman said Bryant had lived in the basement of his grandparents' home for about a year after a divorce. He said deputies were called to the house by the Bryants' son after he had a conversation with Andy, which made the son concerned for the grandparents' safety.

"I don't know what this world is coming to,” neighbor Mike Higgins said. “Nobody has any heart."

Chapman said Andrew Bryant is being held in the Walton County Jail on two charges of murder. More charges could be coming.
