Georgia nurse with COVID-19 gets sweet ‘I love you’ from family dog

DEMOREST, Ga. — A Georgia nurse who was diagnosed with coronavirus got a visit -- and one very special message from her daughter's dog.

Nicole Nathan submitted her mom's story to WSB-TV. Nathan said her mom is a nurse in Demorest and just found out she is sick.

"My mother is a nurse that found out yesterday she has tested positive for COVID-19 unfortunately from one of her patients," Nathan wrote.

Nathan said she's taking care of her mother as she quarantines for the next two weeks. One one visit, Nathan brought her dog, Khalifa, along to say hello.

Wearing a mask, Nathan's mother stood in the window and talked to Khalifa the dog.

"I love you," Nathan's mom said.
