TOOMBS COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia community is mourning the loss of two teenage sisters who died in a tractor-trailer crash on Tuesday.
Desirae Lee Cannon, 18, and Haley Cannon, 14, were riding in a Saturn car Tuesday afternoon in Toombs County when the vehicle turned into the path of a tractor-trailer. Both girls were pronounced dead at the scene, according to WJCL.

Toombs County is about two hours southeast of Macon.
Desirae was a senior at Toombs County High School, and was set to graduate in May. Haley was an eighth-grader at Toombs County Middle School.

A GoFundMe set up to pay for the girls’ funeral expenses has raised nearly $8,000.
The sisters will laid to rest at a shared funeral service on Friday in Vidalia.
