SEA ISLAND, Ga. — A new ranking from Forbes Travel Guide lists a single Georgia spa among the world’s most outstanding establishments.
The publication released its 2022 Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners last week.

Forbes ranked restaurants, hotels, and spas.
Four Georgia restaurants made the cut. You can find those restaurants here.
The publication also included seven Georgia hotels.
Only one spa in Georgia made the list.

The Spa at Sea Island received a 5-star rating.
The spa features 23 treatment rooms and options including nutritional consultants, body work, baths, and skincare treatments, according to the Travel Guide.
The best interior design feature is touted as a sunny garden atrium, along with a bubbling brook.
Forbes Travel Guide recognized a total of 1,830 hotels, restaurants, or spas.
The rankings include just 323 Five-Star hotels, 558 Four-Star properties and 401 Recommended hotels.

Forbes says their professional inspectors travel the world to assess hotels, restaurants, and spas based on 900 objective standards. Their rating system emphasizes service, according to their website.
