TIFT COUNTY, Ga. — Surveillance video appears to show a Georgia teacher knocking down a special needs student in the hallway.
The incident happened at the Tift County Pre-K Center in Tifton on March 17.
The special education teacher, identified as Amelia Stripling, has since resigned, according to WALB.
The child’s mother, Sarah Patterson, said her son just turned 4-years-old.
She said Stripling thrust her knee into the boy’s back, causing him to fall.

Tift County School officials said the boy was not injured, and the incident has been reported to the Division of Family and Children Services.
Officials said Stripling worked for the school system for more than 20 years.
Patterson said she has obtained a lawyer.
According to WALB, there is no word on whether Stripling has done the same.
