“I’ll start my 24 hrs from Amicalola Falls and aiming to get to McDonough, GA for a total of 96 miles. Or however far I can get in 24 hrs. It’s 65 miles to Decatur, so those of you pledged 65 miles I can assure I will definitely make it to Decatur. Traveling this section on foot has been a goal of mine for a while and was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of you know that I’ve hiked from Amicalola Falls into Canada and biked from McDonough to Key West. Once I complete these 96 miles I will have traveled the entire US east coast using human powered mobility. So 2 adventures in 1!” Borowik wrote on her GoFundMe page for the cause.

She has a $3,000 goal and says the money will go directly to two local organizations helping people with food insecurity: Concrete Jungle and Umi Feeds.
