ATLANTA — The Georgia Lottery says it was a good New Year’s weekend for many Georgians, including two who became multimillionaires off scratchers.
They say someone in the south Georgia community of Barney won the top prize on the 2nd Edition Billionaire Club scratch-off and chose the cash option of $3,757,786.42 on Jan. 2.

Over in Jackson County, someone in Jefferson won the top prize of $2 million on the Multiplier Madness scratcher, which they bought in Commerce.
On New Year’s Eve, someone in Madison ended the year well with a $150,000 jackpot in the Fantasy 5 drawing.
And while no one won the Mega Millions jackpot on New Year’s Eve, a player in Jasper matched four out of five winning numbers and the Megaball, winning themselves $10,000.
Two more Georgians took home $10,000 from playing Georgia 5. One ticket was sold in Jonesboro for the New Year’s Eve drawing and another in McDonough for the New Year’s Day drawing.

From Dec. 30 to Jan. 2, Georgia Lottery officials say Georgians won more than $900,000 playing games only available online and on the app.
- Thomas in Powder Springs hit the jackpot for $468,160 playing Elephant King Jackpots on the website on Dec. 30.
- Patricia in Lithia Springs took home $257,315 playing Elephant King Jackpots on the mobile app on Dec. 31.
- Chris in Snellville won $50,000 playing Lucky Coins on the mobile app on Jan. 1.
- Ronnie in Powder Springs claimed $40,000 playing Lucky 7s Multiplier on the mobile app on Dec. 30.
- Jessica in Leesburg won $25,000 playing Merry Money Mania on the mobile app on Jan. 1.
- A player in Byron secured $18,714 playing Elephant King Jackpots on the mobile app on Jan. 2.
- A player in Milledgeville won $15,000 playing The Claw on the mobile app on Dec. 31.
- Marcia in Marietta scored $15,000 playing Merry Money Mania on the mobile app on Jan. 1.
- Danielle in Fayetteville won $10,000 playing Emoti Collect Vation Riches on the website on Dec. 30.
- Linda in Douglas claimed $10,000 playing Siberian Storm on the mobile app on Dec. 30.
On New Year’s Day, two players won Quick Win instant win games on the Georgia Lottery app.
- A player in Augusta won $20,945 playing 20X The Money on the mobile app on Jan. 1.
- Nikki in Fairburn won $17,575 playing Hit $250 on the mobile app on Jan. 1.
