LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Gwinnett County firefighters have put out a fire that erupted on the deck of a Lawrenceville home on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire crews say when they arrived to the Kings Circle home minutes after the 4 p.m. 911 call, the fire had spread from the deck and into the home.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the house and saw large flames coming from the two-story. It appeared to have suffered major damage.
Several of the family’s pets survived the fire, but one pet bird died.

One person is being evaluated by paramedics. That person’s condition has not been released.
Fire officials are still working to learn how the fire started.
