Fight between owner, employee leads to shooting at Duluth gun store

DULUTH, Ga. — Duluth police said two employees of a gun store were sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after the two got into an argument and one shot the other.

It happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. at the Gun Lobby gun store along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

Investigators told Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes that an employee got into a fight with the store owner and shot the store owner in the arm.

Officers said store employees immediately started giving medical aid to the store owner. The store owner was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The employee who is said to be the shooter was also taken to the hospital due to a heart issue.

Police announced Feb. 2 they had obtained an arrest warrant for Charles Collins, 56, for aggravated assault in the incident.
