Arrest made in Gwinnett County double shooting that left one man dead

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett police announced an arrest in a double shooting Feb. 27 near Lawrenceville that left one man dead and another wounded.

Police have charged Brendyn Walker, 24, with felony murder and other charges.

Police said Walker shot Dakota McGee, 21, near the intersection of Macland Drive and McCart Drive. Walker was also shot. Both men were taken to a hospital, where McGee died.

Police said they believed the men met at the location prior to the shooting, which they said appeared to be drug related.
