PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. — Police are trying to figure out who killed a man at an apartment in Gwinnett County.

Detectives and crime scene investigators remain at the scene in Peachtree Corners.

Police found no shell casings, no bullet holes in cars or buildings, no witnesses and no calls of any shots -- just a man found dead in the middle of the parking area of the Bryant Park Apartments around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

"When it was called in, it was reported as a person down here in the parking lot," said Sgt. Jake Smith, with the Gwinnett County Police Department. %

Gwinnett County police found the man wounded from a shooting or stabbing and think the body may have been there for a half hour or more.

"We have not had any reports of any gunfire in the apartment in the past several hours," Smith said.

But after knocking on doors of nearby units, police say they did find one person who thought she heard a gunshot about an hour earlier.

Investigators are now working to identify the victim, a man they think was in his mid-20s, but don't know where he came from, or if he lived at the complex.

"We're not sure who he is and we're not sure exactly what happened,” Smith said.

So far, police do not have any information on any possible suspects.
