GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a double homicide in Norcross.
Gwinnett County police said officers responded to the scene at the Norcross Inn and Suites in the 6000 block of Bay Circle around 3:45 a.m.
A guest passing a motel room noticed two people dead inside.
Crime scene investigators, uniform patrol officers, homicide detectives and investigators from the district attorney's office are all working to figure out what happened.
"Officers responded to the scene. Once they got to the scene, located African American male and female laying down inside a hotel room on the floor. They were deceased," a police spokesperson said.

Homicide detectives worked the scene for hours. Investigators don't know when the two people were killed or why they never got any reports of gunshots.
They have tentatively identified the young man and woman, who may have been from out of state and had only been staying here the last two to three days.
Police also towed from a parking lot a black BMW they say is connected to the victims.
"We're doing everything we can to find out actually what happened. In cases like this it's just going to have to take time," the spokesperson said.
As of now, they have no motive or possible suspects, and only the original witness who called 911.
