DULUTH, Ga. — Clark’s Christmas Kids is back in action this holiday season. They are working to make sure foster kids throughout Georgia wake up with gifts on Christmas day. And dozens gathered in Duluth on Saturday morning to get the gifts collected.
Folks gathered at the Walmart on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth to purchase and donate gifts for children across the state.
There’s still time to get out there today! Shoppers will be there until 12:00 p.m.

Clark’s Christmas Kids started 34 years ago to get gifts to children in Georgia who might go without.
“There’s 11,000 foster kids in the state of Georgia and we will provide gifts for about 7700 this year out of our facility alone,” said President of St. Vincent de Paul Denise Fisher.
It’s a massive effort that includes people donating, but also volunteers. And St. Vincent de Paul who makes sure the gifts get into the hands of children.

“I’m in awe of all of the volunteers who come every year,” said Channel 2 Consumer Advisor Clark Howard.
You can still lend a hand by donating online or in person. There’s one more chance to participate in the in-person event on Sunday at the Cobb Parkway location by the Big Chicken in Marietta from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
