Driver calls 911 after shooting someone in road rage incident, police say

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police say road rage led to a shooting in the parking lot of a busy shopping plaza.

It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday in the shopping center where Academy Sports is along Buford Drive.

Investigators said they received a phone call from a man who said he shot someone.

Police said they found a man with a gunshot wound when they got to the scene. That man was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said the alleged shooter remained at the scene.
