Gwinnett County police are searching for a man accused of killing his 3-month-old daughter.

Adriana Hamilton was rushed to the hospital on Sept. 9 from an apartment on Spring Lane. She died on Wednesday.

Police say her mother left the infant with her boyfriend, Charles Hamilton, 44, while she went to the laundromat to wash clothes. Hamilton is the child’s biological father.

Neighbors say he came running out of the apartment asking them to call 911. He claimed his daughter wasn't breathing well and told them he may have put a blanket around her too tightly.

Officers say an autopsy revealed Adriana suffered broken ribs and bleeding on the brain.

Police charged Hamilton with murder, cruelty to children and aggravated battery.
