NORCROSS, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department said a woman faces multiple felony charges after attacking a store employee at a Norcross Rooms To Go.
The incident happened on Saturday, when officers responded to a call about an assault at the Dawson Boulevard Rooms To Go location.
When police got to the store, they were told a woman, later identified as 32-year-old Deanna Sinai Mills of Atlanta, had been throwing items inside the store and attacked the st aff member with a lanyard, causing injuries to his face.
The victim gave officers the license plate number of the woman’s vehicle and they were able to use Flock cameras to find the vehicle at a nearby Horizon Inn and Suites.
Police said when they got to the hotel, the vehicle took off and tried to drive away down Dawson Boulevard when a passenger inside put it in park, stopping it.

Two passengers got out of the vehicle and cooperated with police commands, but Mills “continued to ignore commands” before police eventually took her into custody.
After investigating further, police learned the two passengers had been picked up by Mills and had no connection to any criminal activity.
Mills was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail and faces the following charges:
- 2 counts kidnapping
- 2 counts aggravated assault
- Battery
- Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree
- Willful obstruction
- Interference with government property
- Disorderly conduct
Police said Mills also had an active arrest warrant from another jurisdiction, but did not say for what or where it originated.
