The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office says several of its deputies helped save the life of a person during a dramatic situation.
The rescue happened Monday when the deputies noticed a distraught person leaving the Gwinnett County courthouse after a hearing. As a result, the sheriff’s office they were ready when the upset person attempted to jump from the second story onto the concrete floor below.
“We’re thankful they intervened and spared a family tremendous heartache,” the sheriff’s office posted.
Thankfully, the person and the deputies were not injured during the incident. The person was taken for medical treatment.
The hero deputies were identified as: Deputies J. Franklin, E. Maclin, J. Hodges and D. Wood.
Several people posted their response thanking the officers for their heroic action.
“Great job! I have always been proud and will always be proud of our law enforcement men and women! Thank you for protecting and serving,” one person said.
