GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a Gwinnett County mother jumped out of a moving car with her 1-year-old baby to escape a man who carjacked and kidnapped them.
Gwinnett County police released surveillance video that shows the Aug. 18 attack at the Exxon station off Boggs Road. Police believe the attack was random and the man has not been caught.
According to the police report, the mother and her 1-year-old had stopped at the gas station to buy something to eat. The woman could be seen in the parking lot eating at her car when a man walked up behind her.
The woman told police she believed the man had a gun and that he punched her in the face before yelling at her to get into the back seat.
“While the male was driving away with the victim and her baby, he demanded money from her. He also told her that he was going to choke her and kill her,” police said.
