Gwinnett officer rescues deer stuck in fence

DULUTH, Ga. — Police officers are called to protect and serve their communities and its members, even the four-legged ones.

Duluth officers were called to a neighborhood along Peachtree Industrial Blvd. where residents noticed a deer that had gotten itself stuck in a fence.

Body camera footage shows Officer Lucas get to the deer and spread the bars apart just enough for the deer to get out and run off safe and sound.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources says deer are out and about more between October and late December because of their mating season.
