GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two people were shot near a Gwinnett County restaurant and one was pronounced dead, police confirmed.
Police responded to a person shot call just after 6 p.m. at the 1300 block of Indian Trail Road. When they arrived, they found two men who had been shot.

Investigators have identified the victim as 22-year-old Jerrett Mitchell. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told Channel 2 Action News he walked up to the surviving victim who had been shot and asked him to check on his friend, who was found dead in the business’s doorway.
Police are searching for two men believed to be suspects in the shooting. However, the motive at this time is unknown.
