GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A homicide investigation is underway after a person was found dead in Dacula, Gwinnett County officials confirm to Channel 2 Action News.

Information is limited, but police say they are investigating near the area of Harbins Circle near Turkey Crossing in Dacula.
Officials told a Channel 2 Action News photographer they had no information on the victim and were assisting another agency at the scene. They are unaware if the homicide actually occurred in the area where the body was found.

Channel 2 Action News also learned Gwinnett Police responded to the scene to assist another agency just after 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. At this time, Gwinnett County officials tell us it is believed to be a single incident and there does no reason to believe there is a threat to the community.

The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner was also on scene to determine manner of death.
At this time, there are no further details available as the investigation continues.
