LILBURN, Ga. — Lilburn Police are investigating a Christmas Eve burglary at a GameStop on Lawrenceville Highway after thieves smashed a car through the front of the store.
Channel 2 Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Matt Johnson got access to surveillance video showing the car crashing into the store around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, followed by four masked men looting the store. They left a red Kia Forte behind before getting into a getaway car, police said.

Investigators tell Johnson the car was likely stolen immediately before the burglary.
“They had masks and gloves and they were all wearing hoodies and dark clothing,” said Officer Veronica Arnold with Lilburn Police.

Police said the burglars also damaged a neighboring, family-owned Mail and Package Center.
“It’s just unnecessary, unnecessary, for some games,” said customer Jessica Sanderson. “I just think it’s really sad.”
Lilburn Police continue their investigation and are asking for any tips to help identify the four men shown robbing the store in the video.
