GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police hope neighbors can help them solve a double shooting that killed one man and sent another man to the hospital.
Police told Channel 2's Lauren Pozen gunshots were reported at the Prescott Apartments on Centerview Drive in Duluth shortly before midnight.
When officers arrived, they found two men shot behind the apartments. One had been shot in the chest and the other in the shoulder.
One of the victims told police they were walking around the apartment complex when a "dark shadowy figure" confronted them.
The man who was shot in the chest died from injuries. Police are not releasing his name until the family is notified.

Pozen visited the apartments Sunday afternoon and spoke with several neighbors who heard the gunshots.
Tulee Massaqui told Pozen thought the shots were fireworks at first. Then she heard something else and immediately grabbed her cellphone to call 911.
"My kids they all slept with me last night. We were scared, we locked up the windows because 911 phone calls, she told us to stay inside,"Massaqui said.
A father who lives in the complex said his daughter saw the flashing lights outside and the shooting is the last thing they expected.
"I have been living here for two years and nothing like that happened before. I am a dad, I have a family here. So it is kind of scary," he told Pozen.
