The child’s mother, Oluwadamilola Imafiabor, 29, told police that her son was run over by a truck while playing outside the day before. She said that the child appeared to be fine but later died during the night.
An autopsy performed on the child showed injuries that appeared to be inconsistent with the story Imafiabor told police.
