GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County officials say a massive new research park will mean 100,000 new jobs for the metro area.
The Gwinnett Development Authority and the county commission on Tuesday approved up to $72 million in loans to a non-profit organization formed by the county that plans to build a sprawling research center on 2,000 acres near Dacula at the Barrow County line along Highway 316.
The $1.1 billion facility is expected to open by 2035.
