GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a woman near Norcross.
According to Lt. Michele Pihera with Gwinnett County Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home on Creeldale Drive NW at approximately 7:05 p.m. to reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, officers found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside the home.

Firefighters also arrived at the home around the same time as police and pronounced her dead.
At that time, both Homicide Investigators and the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner were dispatched to the address.
Police say there were several witnesses inside the home at the time of the shooting.
The victim is a Hispanic woman in her 30s. Police say she lived at the home.
There is no one in custody at this time, as police are still interviewing the witnesses. They say there is no danger to the community.
Investigators will review any surveillance video they are able to find at the home and possibly any surrounding homes.
The investigation will continue over the next few hours and possibly the next few days.
Police have not yet identified the victim.
