GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett police say they found more than just a dog trapped inside a car during a recent call.

Officers were called out to the Walmart on Pleasant Hill Road because a small dog was locked in a car in the parking lot.

As they tried to get the dog out of the car, the officers said they noticed the smell of marijuana.

When the car’s owner returned from Walmart, the officer searched his car and allegedly found cocaine, marijuana and a gun inside of a backpack in the trunk of the car.
