GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a woman’s death after she was attacked at her home Sunday night.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said officers responded to a stabbing on Chelsea Falls Lane near Suwanee.
Police said 81-year-old Myung Kim was attacked by her son, Otto Kim, and was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries to her face. She died from her injuries.
Channel 2′s Audrey Washington spoke to police at the scene, who said the incident all started with a 911 call about a man running into traffic on Buford Highway.
“It appears the male was deliberately trying to get struck by oncoming traffic,” police said.
Police confirmed to Washington that Otto Kim was the Myung Kim’s son. Police said Otto Kim told the officers he had just killed his mother.
