The car was found wrecked Tuesday in Gwinnett County and the girls are believed to be in metro Atlanta, possibly in Clayton County.
Dalton Police said 15-year-old Kadence Patterson and 14-year-old Kara Sosebee were left alone in a car outside Sosebee’s mother’s workplace to be picked up by another parent. Instead, they stole the car, which belongs to another of Sosebee’s relatives, and drove away.

On Tuesday, the girls wrecked the car at the intersection of Lee Road and Telida Trail in Snellville. A witness saw the girls run from the crash on foot, climb over a fence and keep running.
Police were not able to find them.
Investigators determined they may have ties to the Clayton County area or could still be in Gwinnet County.
