Man dead after shootout at Gwinnett County gas station, police say

NORCROSS, Ga. — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a gas station in Gwinnett County on Sunday afternoon.

Gwinnett County officers were called to the Shell gas station on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Jimmy Carter Boulevard, around 12:40 p.m., in reference to a person shot call.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead from gunshot wounds on the ground in the back of the gas station.

The man’s identity or age has not been released.

Gwinnett officials said an argument was believed to have started at the gas pumps, resulting in a shootout, leaving the man dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
