Suspect arrested after woman stabbed to death inside her Gwinnett County apartment

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police have identified a man accused of stabbing a woman to death in her Gwinnett County apartment.

Police say Kurt Sebastian Omana Torres, 26, of Duluth killed Ana Karen Ramos Hernandez, 24, on Friday at an apartment on Hunters Club Lane in unincorporated Norcross.

Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Ana Karen Ramos Hernandez, of Norcross.

Officers were called out to the home around 6 p.m. and found Hernandez dead. Police have not revealed a motive for her death, but have classified it as a domestic stabbing.

Officers arrested Torres on Monday. He will be taken to the Gwinnett County Jail later today.

He faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
