It's official: Metro Atlanta commuters have seen a third straight morning of record-setting tolls on Interstate 85.
Triple Team Traffic's Mark Arum has been tracking the toll prices on Channel 2 Action News This Morning and the record toll was hit just after 8 a.m.
Channel 2 Action News has reported over the past week the increasing rates to use the express lanes. The toll on Monday and Tuesday previously hit the same record of $15.50.

The State Road and Tollway Authority voted earlier this month to change the rates and remove the cap that used to be maxed at $13.95.
Now, there is no longer a maximum toll for using the express lanes. The actual rates are set based on the amount of traffic using them at any given time.
SRTA told Channel 2 Action News they want to keep the HOT lanes moving and make it a benefit for those who are willing to pay for the tolls.
