Tony Hawk, FedEx driver make metro Atlanta boy’s dream come true

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A metro Atlanta boy got a special shoutout and a new skateboard from his favorite athlete Tony Hawk all thanks to his FedEx driver.

The driver, whose story went viral on TikTok and Imgur, said he was on his delivery route in Suwanee, Georgia, when a boy around 7 or 8 years old came running up to his truck.

“He’s like, ‘Excuse me! Excuse me!’ so I pull over and I’m like, ‘Hey man, what’s up?’ And he’s like, ‘Can you mail something for me?’" the driver explained in the video.

He said the boy, whose name is Cooper, then gave him a skateboard and asked him if he could send it to Hawk. The board had Cooper’s name written on one end and Hawk’s on the other.

“His mom comes outside and kinda winks and is like, ‘Yeah, make sure you get it to Tony Hawk,’” the driver said in his post.
