GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Parents are warning other parents to be aware of something they say is going on in Gwinnett County.

Adrienne Jones contacted Channel 2 Action News after she said she saw someone in a dark gray Honda approach a 13-year-old girl Friday morning at a bus stop in Peachtree Corners.

Jones said the young girl ran over to her car.

"When I noticed that he stopped, I looked at her and started taking off my seat belt. I was telling her to come here and at the same time, she was running toward my car," Jones said.

She said the girl told her the man scared her and said she didn’t know him.

"You could see the fear on her face," Jones said.

Jones told Channel 2 that she's already been in touch with the Gwinnett County Police Department and the Gwinnett County School District.

"What was going through my mind was the fear of an abduction, a child abduction. Like, what if I hadn't been here? What was going on? What was he doing here? This wasn't a car we see in our area," Jones said.

Jones told Channel 2 she then posted about the incident on a neighborhood website, and other parents reported that similar incidents had taken place nearby.
