GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A homicide investigation is underway after the discovery of a woman's body inside an extended-stay hotel room.
Gwinnett County police said Claudine Hargrove, 38, of Norcross, was found stabbed to death.
Detectives spoke to witnesses and people who stay at the Extended Stay on Pelican Drive near Norcross Saturday morning.
After midnight, police said a security guard with the hotel called them saying he found a body in room 313.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News she saw Hargrove earlier in the night.
“I said, ‘Are you OK?’ She said, ‘Yeah, do you have a cigarette?’ Gave her a cigarette, told her have a good night. I left minutes later, I come outside and it’s just the police and she’s deceased,” said Ashia Whitmore.
Investigators said they arrested and charged Joseph Jackson, 37, of Norcross, with felony murder and aggravated assault.
Jackson is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.
