VILLA RICA, Ga. — Villa Rica police arrested two people and have warrants out for several others after a fight during a basketball game.
The melee started as Villa Rica played Lithia Springs on Jan. 25.

The fight started in the stands at Villa Rica High School but spilled onto the basketball court while the game was in progress, according to a police report.
Investigators say one teenager confronted another in the student section.
The mother of one teenager told police the fight was over a girl.
An assistant principal, a resource officer, and other adults broke up the fight.

The referees met with school officials and coaches and decided to suspend the game.
Carroll County Schools worked closely with police to identify those involved using school security video footage, according to Charity Aaron with Carroll County Schools.
Seven teenagers face charges of affray and disruption of a public school.
