Amber alert issued for 12-year-old believed to be in 'extreme danger'

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old girl.

Officers believe Brooklyn Smith may have been abducted and could be in danger.

Smith is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans when she was last seen at 2945 Lullwater Trail in Gainesville around 2:18 a.m.

Police believe she may be with her father, 31-year-old Steven Spires, traveling in a dark colored Ford Taurus.

Spires is described as a white male with blue eyes and brown hair. He is 5 ft. 6 in. and weighs 142 pounds.
