Body of 23-year-old man who jumped from pontoon boat recovered from Lake Lanier

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Crews have recovered the body of a man who jumped off of a pontoon boat on Lake Lanier and didn’t resurface Saturday.

Game Wardens say they were called out to the lake, near Flat Creek, just outside of Gainesville a little after noon on Saturday.

A man’s body was recovered a little before 1 p.m Sunday via sonar scan at the mouth of Balus Creek on the lake in 40-plus feet of water. The victim has been identified as 23-year old Anthony Saintil, Jr. of Stockbridge.
